Tell Me About This Month's Event

For this Pride Month edition of Meet Me For Lunch, our guest speakers will be Sarah Abboreno Corbin and Judy Stigger of PFLAG Oak Park Area, whose mission is "to promote the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual & transgender persons, their families & friends, through support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-formed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal rights."

Our resource people from PFLAG will talk about "What is PFLAG's purpose and how are we a resource to this community?  What is the difference between gender and sexuality, and do you recognize what all the flags connote?  We'll look at current leglistative efforts to scapegoat the LGBTQ+ community, and consider how local businesses and organizations can support local residents."  

Where Are We Meeting?

We will gather in Salerno's event space on Roosevelt Road.
A wonderful lunch of pizza, pasta, salad, lemon chicken and drinks will be served.
NOTE: Gluten-free options are available upon request.
